Since my friend Laura asked me the other day where I do my facial and why I have so brilliant skin I need to tell you the following: The advantage of summer is the sun. Even if everybody tells you to avoid the sun as you get bad skin and cancer, you shouldnt. Take care of your skin but don’t hide constantly in a air-conditioned room and under a hat. Moderately of course. Use creams with SPF and wear sunglasses, that’s enough.
My daily routine at the moment is: No cleanser, just water, Kanebo Emulsion II OR La Prairie Caviar cream, which is not necessary for my young skin as people tell me, but I am just so hooked on the smell, so it is necessary for my old soul. And 3 times a week, the midnight recovery serum from Kiehls. Miracle. Fullstop. No make up recently.
When meeting my mum recently she told me that the Apollo treatment worked very well. And my mum is always brutally honest to me. She said that my chin line is 70% firmer and better than it was before. My mum doesn’t belief in plastic surgery or anything what can hurt your body. She believes in really healthy food and sports. My dad as well. The second I put on some weight, they tell me to take care and skip the cookies. Which I never do. Of course. I just skip the rest.
Anyways, the best part of being relatively young and healthy is not worrying too much about life, grabbing your beach bag and enjoying the summer, pool and sun. Even better if your really dear friends invite you over to the pool and you have an awesome time together, watching the sun hiding slowly and having a fabulous dinner. Thats at least my favorite way of spending the summer in the city.
In case you need some inspiration for some beach outfits: I never think too much about my look, because you just wear a Bikini, right? Why bother about the rest? I went to Zara and got the Tunica in May for about 50 Euros (Pink and short) the striped blouse for also 50 Euros ( Silk but dont like the stripes anymore). I carry my LV which I own now forever but does a good job, and like to wear Tom Fords first perfume for Estee Lauder. Very summer for me. And since my Henry Bendell Flip Flops, which I got years ago in NYC, ripped the other day I have to wear CONSTANTLY my Roger Vivier gladiator sandals. And thats exactly how they look like. WORN. Always Dior shades, but I guess I will try now something else and my Thomas Wylde silk scarf.
Have a great start into the week! And don’t forget , the summer doesn’t last forever….
