Since my team, my investors and even my friends insist on me continuing my blog, I am giving it one last shot. A lot has happened in the past few months. This will be an epic year. I don’t want to give too much away, but: BOULESSE is performing very well, the company as well as the team. I will try to update you gradually on the biggest events of the year so far in the upcoming blogposts (our Opernball evening, Abu Dhabi, Kitzbühel etc.) but I would like to start with a simple outfit post. As you know, I really hate outfit posts. First I don’t consider myself being the best dressed person in Continental Europe (so why the hell should anybody care), nor do I think I am in any sort of competition with models like Blonde Salad or Olivia Palermo. But since the rest of the country doesn’t mind not bringing anything particular to the table and promoting their blogs, I thought “Screw it. Do it.”
But I have two huge advantages that my Austrian peers don’t bring to the table: running a successful company and being married to the most amazing man on the planet. Don’t hate, appreciate.
So the plan is that we share a bit of our daily lives. What to wear to a client meeting, how to apply for a job, how to travel light, where to eat out. Well that is the plan, hopefully we can stick to it. We are working on some MAJOR collaborations and are super excited about everyday progress. We would like to take you on a journey you will certainly not experience anywhere else.
Says the relaxed GT after her holidays….enough chit chat, serious blogpost ahead:
People judge you by your appearance. So depending on your professional field, you should make an effort to dress to impress. Being young and broke it might be a bit more challenging than already being well established, but with patience and discipline everybody can fake it until he/she makes it. So. Since I am meeting clients (almost 45 by now) quite often, I need to look business-y, but fun. Hey, it’s eCommerce and not Private Equity. My clients expect me to look fashionable.
So my cheapest office look is the following: Massimo Dutti blazer (bought in Munich in January), COS blouse, COS pants (both REALLY bad quality) and TOGA shoes. The accessories make the look, so go bold.
The essential in every wardrobe: white blouse. I have plenty and not enough.
So, I am off to meet my brilliant friend Jacqueline at our favourite spot in Vienna for a decent coffee in the sun. Life is not too bad, isn’t it?
