Glossy Fashion

Yes, I am a SALES shopper.

Excuse my make up free post. A quick office look before heading out for lunch to Albertina with my favourite fashion editor. I am wearing a Derek Lam  chiffon top (see-through), Chloe skirt, Lanvin shoes, Hermes bracelet, Lanvin Python bag.  I bought shirt and skirt on sale as prices for fashion are raising so dramatically that I don’t see the point in spending 1000 € on a plain black skirt.

I went on a roadtrip with Christina today and in the car we discussed the different ways we consume today. The internet is such a massive and disruptive force and is not only responsible for a whole new way of advertising (hello social media?) it also changes the way we browse and think. Not speaking about the pure distribution aka e-commerce. I shop online, almost exclusively.

I only rarely visit a store to shop. But I use it to see products and to get inspired somehow. There is just one store I try to avoid. I can’t stand Zara anymore. The cheap stuff is just too annoying for me these days. I sold a part of my wardrobe today for the first time on willhaben.at. Just because I was far too lazy to photograph 60 pieces. So I just put a bunch of designer clothes online for peanuts. It was gone within 24 hours. But I really needed the space for my new winter darlings. In the end all this fashion is worthless anyways.  And yes, I own fashion dating back to 2008. And yes, I am still in love with it. We all know that clothes don’t have a real value. And after 6 months it is not fashion, only clothes remain. Which is very very sad but the bitter truth. Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Thats what I always preach to my 44 clients. GOODNESS. SO MANY. And no, I would NOT wear that outfit for a client meeting.

PS: Find our LADUREE candles HERE. Table not for sale 🙂

Stay elegant,

B.

You look lovely! This look is so simple and yet so summery.
I think there is no sense in investing in fashion! Accessories are everlasting and this is where I spend my money, but clothes, NO! I love my basics and play with some fashion pieces, but I would not pay so much money for a bad quality item. I still own high street stuff from 10 years ago, I guess the quality was much better then…

Oh dear, I own the fashion dating back to 2002! To be honest I don’t think anything manufactured today would hold so long. I mean an Etro shawl, it was a fortune that time (over 1000E) and is still amazing, all the female friends want to have it… Some other things from early 2000 are still in a perfect shape. You look very chic and fresh. Love no make up idea, your skin will be grateful! Best regards from MC.

YOU REMINDED ME. I have some HERMES SHALWS DATING BACK TO 2000 😉 Yes, the high street crap doesn’t last long. But nowadays the designer stuff doesn’t make it much longer neither. Thats quite frustrating. …..

Love love love the outfit!
